At 19:45 we drove from Yersokipou towards Polis. After 40min the winding scenic roads, we enter the Polis campsite, the best day to go light. After finding a secluded spot where we will start setting up camp. It does not take us long to figure out that we have not purchased sufficientLighting! We had 2 candles and a very effective LED Keychain Light for its size but with a little help from the car head lights, it only takes half an hour to a camp on.
Once done, the electrical air connected to the cigarette lighter in your car pump, it has the task, we are pleased to see the double air bed fits perfectly in the two-man tent. A feeling of peace and overwhelming is one with nature sets in.
While listening to gentle sound of waves on the beach along strike onefar away and a small fire burning gently, we enjoy to the fullest you a selection of Cypriot dips and lovely fresh bread with sesame seeds, purchased form Konstandinides bakery in Yeroskipou.
We wake up at about 08:30 feeling alive after falling asleep to the gentle sounds of nature. It is time for a morning swim and snorkel a bit as we undertake the effortless 50meters or so trek to the beach. Well, to give time to our appetite, so we carry a 5min drive PolisTown square. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops to what we have done by or meander - garnished enjoy a delicious breakfast with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. After breakfast we drive back to the campsite for some serious chill time in the shade of eucalyptus trees.
A walk along the coast, pick up shells and pebbles unusual stones, turned out to be as enjoyable and relaxing! For lunch, we enjoyed more traditional Cypriot dips, fresh olives and freshbaked bread. Taking only about 20 minutes, we reward ourselves with an ice pack on the beach and watch the sunset!
We reluctantly into the car and make its way back to Paphos and home Yeroskipou. What an effortless, inexpensive and enjoyable spontaneous camping trip!
